PEPPERMINT SHRIMP Lysmata wurdemanni. 
There is a lot of debate back and fourth on this little shrimp.  If you are reading this MORE than likely it is for Aptasia control and erradication hopes. PLEASE Keep reading.  Tiger Lily's has put this critter to the test and here is what we have found time after time.  
 
In our experience (tested and proven dozen of times) PEPPERMINT SHRIMP Lysmata wurdemanni when used in small numbers 5 or less they are NOT effective as an Aptasia erradication biologic control.  When used in groups of 12 or more we have found 99.9% effectiveness.  For this reason we DISCOURAGE purchasing less than 6.

6 Shrimp for tanks 30 Gallons and Bellow
12 Shrimp for ABove 30 Gallons - 120gallons
18-24 Shrimp for Larger than 120 gallons
 
THEY DO NOT EAT MANJO ANEMONES.  It is Crucial with pest management to KNOW what you are dealing with PERIOD.

    Natural Ecology: Lysmata inhabit rocky reef and intertidal zones. They often are found living in and near the base of rock formations, and within crevices looking for fish to service.

    Feeding:   Mysis, pellet and flake, The will also eat left over foods as well.

    Aggression: NOT Aggresive; This species is docile.
