There is a lot of debate back and fourth on this little shrimp. If you are reading this MORE than likely it is for Aptasia control and erradication hopes. PLEASE Keep reading. Tiger Lily's has put this critter to the test and here is what we have found time after time.
In our experience (tested and proven dozen of times) PEPPERMINT SHRIMP Lysmata wurdemanni when used in small numbers 5 or less they are NOT effective as an Aptasia erradication biologic control. When used in groups of 12 or more we have found 99.9% effectiveness. For this reason we DISCOURAGE purchasing less than 6.
